In 1971, a small but determined crew made its way slowly through
the cold North Pacific waters off Alaska aboard the Phyllis Cormack, an
aging 80-foot halibut seiner. They were members of the Don't Make a Wave
Committee, now known worldwide as "Greenpeace." And they were ready to
put their lives on the line to protest nuclear weapons tests planned for
Amchitka Island. This brave voyage was the beginning of many succesful
actions to save our planet.... |

The award-winning exhibition, Global Warming: Understanding the
Forecast is on display at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural
History, located at 10th and Constitution on the National Mall in Washington,
